After Krishna killed Kamsa, Jarasandha, king of Magdha, sought revenge. Krishna left Vrndavan and established his princely pastimes in Dwarka. He kidnapped Rukmini from the svyamabar arranged by her brother, Rukmi.
After Krishna killed Kamsa, Jarasandha, king of Magdha, sought revenge. Krishna left Vrndavan and established his princely pastimes in Dwarka. He kidnapped Rukmini from the svyamabar arranged by her brother, Rukmi. Krishna also obtained the Syamataka jewel from Satyajit. Krishna dueled with the lion, Jamvant. Rukmini and Satyabhama took shelter of prayers to Ganesh for the safety of Krishna. All these stories are enacted in a costumed drama with many devotional songs and dances.
